Job summary

WSP India is seeking a Principal Engineer (Modelling) to lead and support water and wastewater modelling projects, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery for clients. The role involves hydraulic modelling using Infoworks ICM and related analyses, building new models and leveraging existing ones to assess asset performance.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and passionate about quality work, with extensive experience in UK water projects and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional accreditation from ICE or CIWEM or pursuing.
• Good understanding of water and wastewater projects, preferably with exposure to UK Water Industry standards.
• Minimum 12 years industry experience is desired but not essential.
• Experience in UK Water distribution projects.
• Urban drainage modelling / Waste water modelling.
• Model verification.
• Needs Assessment & Optioneering.
• Experience with Infoworks ICM and GIS software.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.

As a Principal Engineer (Modelling) within our Water Team, you will provide leadership and technical support on waste water/urban drainage modelling projects to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients.

The role includes providing support on hydraulic modelling studies using industry standard software Infoworks ICM as well as other projects requiring detailed technical analysis. You will be expected to use existing models as well as building new models to assess and understand asset performance.

• Experience of one or more areas of UK Water distribution industry projects.
