AtkinsRealis India Private Limited is seeking an accomplished Civil/Structural Engineer with 15+ years of bridge design experience for international projects. You will lead design teams, manage multiple projects, and ensure delivery to time, budget and quality standards.

Qualified candidates should be chartered or near chartership, proficient in international design codes and bridge analysis software, with strong communication skills and stakeholder coordination capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Civil Engineering degree with chartered status or near-chartered from international institutions.
• Experienced in highway and bridge design across international projects with 12–15 years in consultancy.
• Proficient with MX, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, AutoCAD and related design software; familiarity with international standards.
• Strong communication, leadership and project management skills expected.

Job Description Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Civil/Structural Engineer with 15+ years of experience in bridge design and delivery across international infrastructure projects. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing multiple projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be chartered or nearing chartership, proficient in international design codes and bridge analysis software, and experienced in RCC, PSC, steel, and composite bridge structures.

Your Role

As a member of the Highways team you will be responsible for: Project Manager/ Team leader of large design teams. Provide technical guidance within design teams with minimal external guidance. Preparing budget, resourcing and delivering to the budget and agreed time frame. Ultimately responsible for correct delivery. Active contributor to technical promotion e.g. internal case studies, papers etc. Produces design solutions from outline briefs and correctly interprets data and communicates it to others Undertake multi Discipline project management with experience of providing full project management and lead consultant duties. Managing own workload and the workload of subordinates within a matrix management structure. Takes responsibility for writing effective sections of technical reports Active and responsible for technical growth of subordinates. Take an active role in our client’s community, through its national and international forum to share best practice and pursue joint initiatives.

About You

Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College. Chartered or near chartered from reputed International professional institutions. Have relevant experience in the region of around 12 to 15 years .in consultancy business working on highways and related features. Experienced user of design software like MX, Civil 3D, Bentley Open Road and AutoCAD. Experience in international Standards like AASHTO, UK DMRB and Canada Standards. Experience implementing quality standards and procedures. A very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office. Good verbal and written communication skills. Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects. Holds a Masters Degree in a relevant discipline. Working as technical lead or project manager on international projects. Experience of the design of grade separated junctions. Experience of the design of pipe drainage networks. Working knowledge of UK highway design standards.
