Job summary

WSP in Bengaluru is seeking a Principal Engineer (Flood Risk Modelling) within our Water Team to lead flood modelling projects and deliverables, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and project management. You will use Flood Modeller Pro, Tuflow, Estry, HEC-RAS and Infoworks ICM 2D to conduct hydraulic and hydrological analyses, manage resources and budgets, and ensure high-quality client outcomes.

A strong background in 1D-2D modelling, major flood alleviation schemes, highway

Job description

As Principal Engineer (Flood Risk Modelling) within our Water Team, you will take responsibility to provide technical support, resource & financial management, mentoring and independently deliver flood modelling projects to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients.

The role requirement includes leading projects based on hydraulic modelling and flood risk based studies using industry standard software (Flood Modeller Pro, Tuflow, Estry, HEC-RAS, Infoworks ICM 2D) as well as other projects requiring detailed technical analysis and providing support to junior colleagues.

You will be expected to have a strong background/working knowledge on 1d-2d hydraulic modelling, hydrological modelling, major flood alleviation schemes, highway infrastructure projects and GIS based analytical tools with a thorough understanding of the UK Water industry and legislation.
