Job summary

Litmus is building the data foundation powering industrial AI. We enable real‑time data access from machines, systems, and sensors at the edge to optimize production and minimize downtime.

We seek a hands‑on Principal Engineer to lead the Pune team for Litmus Edge Manager (LEM), driving architecture, product collaboration, and engineering excellence. You will mentor engineers, craft scalable backend services, and champion modern practices while partnering with global teams to deliver the product

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and good working knowledge of Go.
• Experience building distributed systems and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, messaging systems, databases, and system design.
• Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.

About The Role

We are looking for a hands‑on Principal Engineer to lead the Pune engineering team for Litmus Edge Manager (LEM) – our centralized platform for managing edge deployments across global manufacturing sites. You will provide technical leadership while actively contributing to product development, architecture, and engineering excellence. This role combines software engineering, team leadership, product collaboration, and quality ownership to build a high‑performing engineering organization.

• Experience with AI/ML deployment at the edge.
• Familiarity with Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and observability platforms.
• Experience building Global Capability Centers or leading distributed engineering teams.
