About The Role

As a Principal Engineer, you will own and drive the engineering direction of the company while remaining deeply hands‑on. You will work closely with a strong full‑stack team, writing production‑grade code while setting the technical bar across architecture, scalability, reliability, and security. This is a high‑ownership leadership role requiring architectural depth, startup agility, and strong collaboration with executive leadership. What You’ll Do

• Hands‑On Coding (50%) – Own full‑stack epics/features end‑to‑end (React / Node / Postgres stack) from ideation to production.
• Technical Leadership (20%) – Guide architecture decisions, system design, DevOps (CI/CD, GCP, Kubernetes), and security practices (authentication, encryption, SOC2 basics).
• Mentoring & Code Quality (15%) – Conduct code reviews, pair‑program with junior/mid‑level engineers, and elevate overall engineering standards.
• Hiring & Team Building (5%) – Screen candidates, lead technical interviews, and contribute to scaling the engineering team.
• Product Strategy (10%) – Collaborate closely with CEO/Product leadership on roadmap prioritization, effort estimation, and execution planning.
