Job summary

AECOM India Global Services Private Limited seeks a Principal Designer with 15+ years in BIM coordination to join the Building Engineering team in Gurugram. You will lead coordination between architects and engineers, using Revit and related tools to optimize the virtual construction process and documentation.

The role requires strong knowledge of construction methods and infrastructure projects such as metros or airports, with a hybrid work model and Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.

Qualifications

• Diploma (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute or university.
• Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in Managing Large scale projects.

Job Description

The Principal Designer assists the Associate/BIM Manager as a project team member, interacting with project architects & engineers to develop and analyses the virtual construction process to maximize construction/coordination efficiency, job cost savings, as well as enhance project documentation & delivery.

• Minimum 10-15 years project experience using BIM60/Revit Structure environment, with duties as a lead coordinator–Engineer, or equivalent.
• Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and understanding of construction methods, processes, and systems.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of common construction terminology and nomenclature as well as various building types and systems.
• Experience in Infrastructure Projects like: Metros/Airports add more advantages.
• Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced working knowledge and experience with the following software applications as well as typically used terminology, standards, and practices Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, RC CAD, Bentley Products, etc.
