Job summary

Evoke Technologies is seeking an experienced data engineer with strong SQL, ETL/ELT design, and AWS data services expertise to build scalable pipelines in Snowflake and manage Terraform-based infrastructure.

You will design and optimize Python-based ETL/ELT processes, implement data quality and metadata practices, and guide the team on architecture decisions from Hyderabad, India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong SQL and RDBMS performance tuning experience.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS-based data engineering—Glue, EMR, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, CloudFormation.
• Solid grasp of data engineering concepts: ETL/ELT design, data modeling, orchestration (Airflow), CDC, data partitioning, and pipeline optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD and source control practices.

Responsibilities

• Apply data engineering fundamentals: partitioning, schema evolution, CDC, orchestration, and tuning.
• Implement data quality, lineage, and metadata management practices.
• Architect level responsibilities: own architecture decisions and mentor team members.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage data pipelines and warehouse curation on Snowflake using DBT
• Manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform for reproducible, version-controlled data environments
• Develop and optimize Python-based ETL/ELT processes for batch and incremental data loads
• Work with AWS services (Glue, EMR, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, CloudFormation) to build scalable data infrastructure

• Implement data quality, lineage, and metadata management practices
