Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Principal Consultant - Workday Extend to lead the development of custom applications on Workday Extend, ensuring security and data model alignment. You will drive requirements, design, and delivery of extensions such as onboarding, expense, or recognition workflows, and integrate Extend with external systems.

You will guide technical design discussions, mentor juniors, and collaborate with stakeholders to manage timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a technical discipline is required and multiple Oracle certifications are preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing Workday Extend applications and integrations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and security models.
• Proven mentoring and technical leadership skills in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Workday Extend applications based on business requirements.
• Lead technical design discussions and provide solution guidance.
• Build and manage custom objects UI components and business logic.
• Develop and support integrations between Extend Workday modules and third-party systems.
• Ensure applications follow Workday security and best practices.
• Perform code and design reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Support testing, deployment, and production issues.
• Assess impact of Workday releases and update Extend applications as needed.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical support.
• Work with stakeholders to manage expectations and timelines.

Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Workday Extend In this role you will be responsible for leading on building custom apps and solutions directly on top of leveraging Workday’s existing security and data models. Lead in understanding the requirement and accordingly create unique applications for things like employee onboarding expense requests or recognition programs streamlining processes retiring legacy systems and extending Workday’s functionality to meet specific business needs without complex integrations.
