Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and cloud‑native architecture. This role is critical in driving the design, development, and scalability of cloud‑based platforms, with a focus on Kubernetes‑driven environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in distributed system design, hands‑on experience with modern DevOps and GitOps practices, and strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high‑performance cloud‑native applications
• Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Drive system design decisions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance
• Architect and manage Kubernetes‑based deployments across cloud environments
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD and Helm
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust and secure cloud solutions
• Optimize application performance, cost efficiency, and operational reliability
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices in cloud architecture and development
• Ensure adherence to DevOps, GitOps, and infrastructure‑as‑code principles

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot development
• Proven experience in designing and building distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (mandatory) in production environments
• Strong working knowledge of Helm and Argo CD (mandatory)
• Deep experience in at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native patterns, scalability, and resilience design
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
• Exposure to observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
• Experience in high‑scale enterprise environments
