As a founding technical leader, you will collaborate across pre-sales, delivery, and AWS partner teams to architect modern data platforms, enable AI agent solutions, and drive enterprise transformations through scalable, governance-focused patterns.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise architecture or solution architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on AWS architecture delivering enterprise-scale AI & cloud solutions.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional preferred.
• Proven experience leading architecture for large-scale modernization or digital transformation programs.

About the Role

As one of the founding technical leaders of our AWS Agentic AI & Data Modernization Practice, you will define the architecture, standards, reusable IP, and technical direction that will power a high-growth consulting practice.

This is not a project-specific architecture role. You will work across pre-sales, discovery, product engineering, delivery, and AWS partner teams to create repeatable modernization solutions that accelerate enterprise transformation across industries.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Solution Architecture

• Lead executive discovery workshops to assess current-state architecture, business processes, data landscape, and modernization opportunities.
• Define target-state architectures and multi-year modernization roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Act as the trusted technical advisor to client technology and business leadership.

AWS Data & AI Architecture

• Design modern AWS-native data platforms including ingestion, storage, transformation, governance, semantic layer, and data products.
• Architect enterprise data products using domain-driven design principles.
• Establish architecture standards for performance, scalability, resiliency, observability, and cost optimization.

Agentic AI Architecture

• Design and build enterprise Agentic AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock, multi-agent orchestration, RAG, knowledge bases, and responsible AI principles.
• Assess existing AI agent platforms and define modernization strategies to AWS-native architectures.
• Establish architecture patterns for responsible AI, guardrails, evaluation, prompt management, security, and governance.

Migration & Modernization and Practice Development

• Lead modernization strategies using AWS Transform.
• Build reusable architecture blueprints and accelerators for data platforms, analytics, AI workloads, and enterprise applications.
• Drive technical innovation across the practice.
• Conduct architecture governance and risk reviews.
• Conduct architecture risk assessments and define mitigation strategies for complex transformation programs.

Technical Leadership

• Establish architecture governance, engineering standards, design review processes, and best practices.
• Mentor Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and Engineering teams.
• Guide engineering teams on implementation approaches, cloud-native patterns, and technical quality.
• Promote engineering excellence through automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, DevSecOps, and observability practices.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, cloud modernization, or solution architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on AWS architecture experience delivering enterprise-scale AI & cloud solutions.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification preferred.
• Proven experience leading architecture for large-scale modernization or digital transformation programs.
• Strong consulting background with experience working across multiple client engagements and industries.
• Demonstrated experience designing AWS-native data platforms and modern analytics architectures.
• Experience with AWS Transform and migration assessment tooling.

Nice to Have

• Experience across multiple industry verticals (financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, etc.)
• Familiarity with mortgage or broader lending/fintech domain (loan origination systems, underwriting, servicing)
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, or Power BI modernization.
• Public speaking, blogging, conference presentations, or open-source contributions.

Technical Expertise

Strong hands-on experience with:

• AWS Platform: Core AWS data, analytics, serverless, integration, networking, security, and observability services.
• Agentic AI: Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, AgentCore, Guardrails, RAG, Q, Prompt engineering and prompt management, multi-agent orchestration.
• Data Engineering: Lakehouse, Spark, Iceberg, Delta, streaming, governance, semantic modeling.
• Cloud Engineering: Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, DevSecOps.

Consulting & Leadership Skills

• Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to facilitate architecture workshops and executive discovery sessions.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes.
