Presales Engineer-Network Passive, ELV & AV Systems

Job Summary

The Pre-Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the sales team, ensuring successful project acquisition and client satisfaction. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their requirements, preparing technical solutions, and delivering high-quality proposals for Network Passive, Extra Low Voltage (ELV), and Audio-Visual (AV) Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Sales Support:

Work closely with the sales team to identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.

Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements and technical feasibility.

Develop technical presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.

Participate in client meetings and presentations to explain solutions and answer technical questions.

2. Solution Design & Documentation:

Design and draft solutions for Network Passive, ELV, and AV systems, including BoQ and technical schematics.

Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, integration methods, and product specifications.

Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure compatibility and reliability of proposed solutions.

3. Technical Expertise:

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Network Passive, ELV, and AV systems.

Advise on best practices, standards, and compliance requirements.

Perform technical evaluations of new products and solutions.

4. Bid and Proposal Management:

Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals for tenders and client submissions.

Develop and maintain proposal templates and technical documentation.

Ensure all documentation aligns with project requirements and client expectations.

5. Client Engagement & Support:

Maintain strong client relationships by providing timely and effective technical support during pre-sales and post-sales phases.

Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution during the design and commissioning stages.

Skills & Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of Network Passive Infrastructure, ELV Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, etc.), and AV Systems (video conferencing, digital signage, etc.).

Strong understanding of IP networking, structured cabling, and system integration.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design tools.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.

Project management experience is an advantage.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, BICSI, CCNA) are highly desirable.
