Job summary

Unicent Group seeks a passionate Pre-Primary Teacher to join our early years team in delivering Cambridge Early Years aligned, play-based learning experiences. The role emphasizes creating a safe, inclusive classroom where young learners build confidence, curiosity, and essential skills.

You will design engaging activities, observe progress, differentiate instruction, and collaborate with co-teachers and staff while engaging with parents and school events.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of teaching experience in pre-primary/early years
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development
  • Experience creating engaging, play-based learning aligned with Cambridge Early Years

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging, and play-based learning experiences aligned with Cambridge Early Years framework
  • Develop weekly and daily lesson plans incorporating activity-based, experiential, and child-centred learning
  • Support children's development across communication and language, physical development, personal-social-emotional development, early mathematics, literacy, creative expression, and understanding of the world
  • Use stories, rhymes, music, art, role play, sensory activities, games, and hands-on experiences to make learning meaningful
  • Create an attractive, stimulating classroom environment with appropriate learning resources and displays
  • Observe and assess children's learning and progress through continuous observation and formative assessment
  • Maintain records of children's progress and use observations to plan differentiated learning experiences
  • Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and differentiation
  • Encourage independence, confidence, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Establish positive classroom routines and promote appropriate behaviour through positive reinforcement
  • Ensure health, safety, safeguarding, and wellbeing of all children
  • Build warm, respectful relationships with children and create an inclusive classroom
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's learning, development, behaviour, and wellbeing
  • Participate in parent meetings, school events, workshops, and extracurricular activities
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers, teaching assistants, coordinators, and other school staff
  • Integrate age-appropriate technology and digital resources where they enhance learning
  • Prepare teaching-learning materials and maintain classroom resources
  • Participate in professional development and continuously improve teaching practices
  • Follow school policies, curriculum guidelines, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards

Job description

We are looking for a passionate, caring, and creative Pre-Primary Teacher with 2–4 years of experience to join our early years team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development and experience creating engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Cambridge Early Years approach.
