Over the past two decades, Bain has formalized Industry and Capability areas, internally known as “Practices”, integral to how Bain wins and delivers results to its clients. A Practice can be considered a Business Unit of Bain & Company. While there may be some allocation to client-facing work, the role within a Practice is primarily focused on supporting our client-facing partners and case teams to deliver great client and people success stories. Sustainability (which covers environmental, social, and economic justice issues) is an increasingly important topic for our clients. In the Sustainability Practice, we help our clients make critical decisions that impact the core of their business strategy, related to sustainability strategy, the environmental and social impact of operations, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability-related growth and cost opportunities. We work to ensure that sustainability efforts are anchored in business fundamentals and demonstrate a clear return on investment – and that those efforts are then firmly embedded within our clients\' strategy and operations.

The Practice Consultant is a critical member of the Sustainability Practice, and the analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one. You will also work alongside the Practice team to become a critical contributor to help achieve the Practice’s annual and longer-term goals which includes driving global collaboration, supporting case teams to drive results with clients, building new intellectual property (IP) and increasing our visibility and reinforcing our competitive differentiation externally.
