Job Summary

The PPC Executive/Manager is responsible for overseeing the production planning and control processes to ensure efficient workflow, timely material availability, and optimal resource utilization. This role requires close coordination with production, procurement, inventory, and logistics teams to meet customer demands while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning
    • Develop and implement production schedules based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
    • Coordinate with the sales and procurement teams to align production with demand.
    • Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and material resources.
    • Identify bottlenecks in production and provide solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Material Planning & Inventory Management
    • Plan and manage raw material requirements as per production schedules.
    • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess stock situations.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material availability.
    • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) and lean inventory management principles.
  • Production Control & Monitoring
    • Track daily, weekly, and monthly production performance.
    • Analyze deviations in production targets and take corrective actions.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and minimize rework/rejections.
    • Implement and improve production control systems for efficiency.
  • Coordination & Communication
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, QC, Purchase, Logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
    • Communicate production plans, changes, and priorities to all stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular review meetings for production updates and issue resolution.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting
    • Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency improvement.
    • Implement best practices in PPC to reduce lead times and improve productivity.
    • Generate and analyze reports on production performance, material usage, and efficiency.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, material planning, and scheduling techniques.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems for production planning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and other process improvement methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
