Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Bengaluru seeks a power systems engineer with 3–8 years of hands-on experience to conduct advanced power system studies and grid analysis.

You will model generators, converters, transformers, transmission lines, loads and protection devices; perform steady-state, dynamic, EMT and frequency-domain simulations; and translate results into practical recommendations for grid compliance and renewable integration.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of hands-on experience in power system studies, modeling, simulation, and grid analysis.
• Proficiency in load flow, short-circuit, harmonic, protection coordination, and transient stability studies.
• Experience in renewable energy integration, including Solar PV, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Proficient in modeling power system components such as generators, converters, transformers, transmission lines, loads, and protection devices.
• Hands-on experience with ETAP, PSSE, PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MATLAB, Python, and MS Excel.
• Ability to perform steady-state, dynamic, EMT, and frequency-domain simulations to assess system performance and grid compliance.
• Strong understanding of grid codes, IEC standards, utility interconnection requirements, and power system protection principles.
• Familiarity with Python and cloud-based tools for automation, analytics, and engineering workflows.
• Excellent technical documentation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate complex study results into actionable recommendations.
