Job summary

Intel is seeking a Senior End-to-End Power and Performance Lead Validation and Optimization Engineer based in Bangalore, India. The role involves responsibility for optimizing product power and performance goals through detailed analysis and understanding of silicon behavior.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with over 5 years of relevant experience and strong analytical skills in power management and optimization techniques.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with CPU architecture.

Job Description:

• We have opening for senior end to end power and performance lead validation and optimization engineer for Intel client and automotive products… as a PnP Engineer, you will be responsible for a product, Client, Automotive or AI) to achieve or beat its power and performance goals.
• The includes understanding SOC characterization, power and performance optimization in addition to the responsibility for identifying opportunities, drive optimization improvements through analysis of workloads and silicon behaviour.
• The job requirements include but not limited to the following.
• Understanding silicon parametric across distributions Vmins, Cdyn, leakage, transistor performance to name a few and its impact on Product PnP
• Understanding workloads and performance maximizing techniques for a constrained power envelope
• System level understanding of power management flows at the hardware, firmware, and driver levels
• In depth level understanding of hardware power management such as P states and C states
• Analysis of silicon power consumption versus pre-silicon expectations and drive resolution of issues towards higher battery life client, higher perf at different utilization points data centre
• Keep a tab on power estimation/measurement methodology and continuously evolve with the new power optimization techniques.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS or BE degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Work experience (5+) in the field of Power Perf or Power and Perf optimizations on a SoC

Preferred Qualifications :

• Track record of practical problem solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and/or interaction skills.
• Result oriented
• Technical understanding of V/f curves, silicon parametric
• Technical understanding of workloads, benchmarking , TDP power recipes in either client , data center space.
• Familiarity with CPU architect
