Title of position : Power Electronics Lead / Architect
Work Experience : 8 to 12 Yrs.
Qualification : B.E./Btech/ME/MTech Electrical / Electronics Engineering/related subject
Location : Chennai
Skills Required :
  • Realization of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions.
  • Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware, firmware, software and mechanical engineers) to agree system designs, interces and protocols etc.
  • Strong in embedded hardware product design, Debug, and Test
  • Familiar with the standard principles, concepts, and application of embedded hardware engineering.
  • Component selection, Schematics design, Preparing BOM and PCB Design guidelines and constraints
  • EAGLE / ALTIUM / Orcad / Mentor / Cadence Schematic and PCB design software experience preferred.
  • Design Simulations using PSpice/LT Spice/TINA
  • Interfacing sensors on the embedded system
  • Interfacing Protocols like Bluetooth/BLE, WiFi, USB, I2C, UART, SPI, Ethernet, CAN/LIN/FLexray
  • Handling of Digital Oscilloscopes, Multi-meter, Power Analyzer, Logic Analyzer (software and hardware).
  • Power budgeting, design of efficient power regulation electronics (LDOs and DC-DC converters)
  • Work with designs involving ARM microprocessors/ microcontrollers, FPGAs, standard digital logic ICs
  • Memory Interface SRAM, DDR, Flash, Memory Cards.
  • Work on Analog and mixed signal designs including Opamps, ADCs, DACs, switches, etc.
  • Power Semiconductors:
    Power Diodes, Power MOSFETS, SCR/Triac, SiC, IGBT, GaN, Power Transistors, Gate Drivers, Isolation Techniques, Snubbers, Filters.
  • High Power and Low Power AC-DC Converters, DC-DC Converters, PFC, Inverters, Thermal Management
  • AC/DC Motor Control LV, HV, BLDC, Brushed DC, Stepper Motors,
  • BMS, On Board Battery Chargers and Standalone Chargers,
  • Basic Embedded software using C / C++.
  • Individual board bring up and module wise testing and debug
  • Integration of the different modules to a final product
  • Knowledge on soldering through hole and SMD components.
  • Exposure to ISO9001 processes and documentation.
  • ISO26262 Functional Safety awareness
  • EMI / EMC Compliance and other Regulatory Compliance
  • Reliability Analysis, MTBF, RCA, FBD
  • Working knowledge of Signal / Power / Thermal Integrity.
  • FPGA programming skills desirable
  • Ability to provide practical solutions and work effectively in a team environment
  • Should be passionate, diligent, thorough, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Should be a Self-Learner, Team Leader, possess good communication & interpersonal skills.
