Siemens Energy is seeking a Performance Monitoring Engineer for Power Diagnostics services. You will review daily monitoring results, set up gas turbine digital twins, and develop rules for detecting performance issues. The role requires deep thermodynamics knowledge and 5+ years in power plant operations.
You will collaborate with service and engineering teams, support new monitoring tools, and provide performance data for clients, contributing to decarbonization and efficiency improvements.
The Power Diagnostics® Services Performance Monitoring Engineer reviews daily results from monitoring infrastructure and digital twin models to proactively investigate, diagnose, and communicate performance issues that may impact the reliability and capability of assigned power plants. This role provides technical support for customer inquiries, develops recommendations with engineering support as needed, sets up Gas Turbine digital twins for analysis and studies, and helps develop monitoring rules to support issue detection and performance analysis.
Improve and update existing tools and processes i.e. proposing diagnostics rules for the improvement of the automatic abnormal operations alerts
Provide estimated performance data for both internal and external customers
Close collaboration with our service and engineering organizations for performance enhancements.
