Job summary

Merkle India is seeking a Business Intelligence - Lead Analyst to design and deliver highly visual dashboards and reports that optimize multiple marketing channels. You will drive engagement, Gather requirements, and act as Reporting SME with stakeholders. Strong BI skills and Power BI certification are required.

Role emphasizes analytical problem solving, client-facing presentations, and collaboration with the data team. Location: Pune, full-time with permanent contract.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data analysis and visualization experience.
• Expertise in BI/Visualization tools, specifically Power BI (certification required).
• Strong proficiency in DAX for calculated columns, measures and KPIs.
• Power Query (M language) for data transformation and ETL.
• Data modelling including star/snowflake schemas and normalization.
• Power BI Service: RLS, workspace management, app deployment, gateway and scheduled refreshes.
• Degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
• Intermediate SQL and Google BigQuery proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with Google Dataform, Looker and Composer is a plus.
• Marketing analytics experience is a bonus.

Business Intelligence - Lead Analyst (DCF Level - 30)

A qualified professional with experience in developing highly visual dashboards and reports optimizing multiple marketing channels. The Senior Analyst role is focused on supporting our clients with reporting capabilities and will be driving the overall engagement in developing dashboards and reports on strategic clients and helping measure their overall marketing effectiveness. Will serve as a point of contact between multiple stakeholders both internal and external to identify reporting needs and deliver the solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse reporting requirements from stakeholders, including new data needs, report layout preferences, and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain advanced interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Provides strategic, technical and or operational reporting best practices and guidance.
• Reporting expertise and knowledge to solve business challenges and provide focus to team members.
• Ability to formulate analytical problem, summarize key findings/insights and make helpful recommendations.
• Thought leadership and guidance in the development of client-facing presentations and read-outs.
• Drives the overall client engagement as the reporting Subject Matter expert (SME) in delivering reporting solutions while collaborating with data team.
• Analysis of reporting requirements; including new data requirements, reporting layout and user needs.
• Define best practices and the design/development, deployment, and maintenance of reports.
• Ensures that project goals/milestones are met.

Required Skill

• 3+ year of experience in data analysis and visualization
• Expertise in BI/Visualization tools, specifically Power BI (certification must have).
• Strong proficiency in: DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
• Power Query (M language) for data transformation and ETL processes.
• Data Modelling including star schema, snowflake schema, and normalization techniques.
• Power BI Service: row-level security (RLS), workspace management, app deployment, gateway configuration, and scheduled refreshes.
• Degree in computer science, information systems, or another technology-related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Google BigQuery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Good to have - Familiarity with Google Dataform, Composer and Looker.
• Optional: Marketing Analytics experience.
