Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru seeks a Senior BI Developer to lead Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models aligned with business goals. You will translate requirements into clear visuals and KPI frameworks for end users, while setting standards and templates for consistent delivery.

You will build and optimize data models, troubleshoot performance, and collaborate with data engineers on ETL and data quality. Mentoring the BI team and driving governance are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of experience with Power BI development and delivery.
• Proven experience building enterprise dashboards, reports, and data models in Power BI.
• Strong experience with ETL and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models aligned to business goals.

• Partner with data engineering teams to define ETL requirements and ensure clean, reliable, and well-documented data pipelines.
• Validate data quality and ensure reconciliation between source systems and BI outputs.
• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders, manage expectations, and provide clear delivery plans and status updates.
• Mentor BI developers/analysts, conduct reviews, and enforce development standards and governance practices.
• Support production operations by handling enhancements, bug fixes, and root-cause analysis for BI issues.

• BTECH, MTECH, MCA, or MSC.
• 7–9 years of overall experience with strong hands-on expertise in Power BI development and delivery.
• Proven experience in building enterprise dashboards, reports, and data models in Power BI.
• Strong experience working with ETL processes and collaborating on data integration requirements.
• Ability to gather requirements, translate them into BI solutions, and communicate effectively with business and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading BI initiatives end-to-end, including planning, estimation, and delivery governance.
• Strong understanding of analytics lifecycle: requirement discovery, semantic modeling, visualization, validation, and rollout.
• Experience implementing access controls and governance practices for enterprise BI usage.
• Track record of improving dashboard performance, usability, and adoption through best practices and stakeholder feedback loops.
• Experience coaching team members and establishing standards for documentation, versioning, and release management.
