Job summary

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in Electrical Engineering disciplines with focus on control, automation, and robotics. Preference is given to full-time PhD scholars who completed their PhD in EEE, EIE, CIE, or Autonomous Systems within the last 3 years, located near the Coimbatore region.

Salary up to INR 60,000 per month; initial appointment for 1 year with extension up to 2 years based on performance.

Job description

Preference is given to full-time PhD scholars who have completed their PhD in EEE, EIE, CIE, and Autonomous Systems within the last 3 years and are located near the Coimbatore Region. Applications from other departments will not be considered.

• Monthly Salary up to INR 60,000.
• Initial appointment: 1 year

• Candidates who have recently completed their Ph.D. or thesis already submitted may also apply.

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Strong theoretical and practical background in classical and modern control systems, including system modelling, stability analysis, controller design, and performance evaluation for linear and non-linear systems.
• Strong publication record or demonstrated potential to publish in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals in control engineering, automation, or related domains.
• Proven research experience in process control, autonomous systems, or intelligent control, with exposure to real-world industrial or cyber-physical applications.
• Excellent proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/ROS for control system modelling, simulation, algorithm development, and performance validation.
