Job summary

Anlage Infotech in Visakhapatnam is seeking a Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to perform validation across semiconductor devices, SoCs and embedded hardware platforms. You will develop test plans, execute functional and reliability checks, and support silicon/board bring-up with hands-on debugging using JTAG, scopes, and analyzers.

Qualifications

• 25 years of experience in Post-Silicon Validation, Silicon Validation, Hardware Validation, Semiconductor Testing, or Embedded Hardware Testing.
• Strong understanding of SoC, ASIC, IC, semiconductor, or embedded hardware architecture.
• Experience with hardware/system-level testing and debugging.
• Experience in board bring-up and silicon bring-up is preferred.
• Hands-on debugging using JTAG, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, DMM, and GDB.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-silicon validation and testing of semiconductor devices, SoCs, ASICs, and embedded hardware platforms.
• Develop and execute validation test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Perform functional, system-level, performance, power, and reliability validation.
• Support silicon bring-up and board bring-up activities.
• Debug hardware, firmware, and system-level issues using debugging tools.
• Analyze test failures, logs, traces, and validation data to identify root causes.
• Work with Design, RTL, Firmware, Software, Hardware, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Characterize and validate across operating conditions and configurations.
• Document test results, defects, root-cause analysis, and validation reports.
• Support regression testing and automation of repetitive validation activities.
• Track issues through closure and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving test coverage and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform post-silicon validation and testing of semiconductor devices, SoCs, ASICs, and embedded hardware platforms.
• Develop and execute validation test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Perform functional, system-level, performance, power, and reliability validation.
• Support silicon bring-up and board bring-up activities.
• Debug hardware, firmware, and system-level issues using appropriate debugging techniques and tools.
• Analyze test failures, logs, traces, and validation data to identify root causes.
• Work closely with Design, RTL, Firmware, Software, Hardware, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Perform characterization and validation across different operating conditions and configurations.
• Document test results, defects, root-cause analysis, and validation reports.

Required Technical Skills

• 25 years of experience in Post-Silicon Validation, Silicon Validation, Hardware Validation, Semiconductor Testing, or Embedded Hardware Testing.
• Good understanding of SoC, ASIC, IC, semiconductor, or embedded hardware architecture.
• Experience with hardware/system-level testing and debugging.
• Experience in board bring-up and silicon bring-up is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as:
  • JTAG
  • Oscilloscope
  • Logic Analyzer
  • Multimeter / DMM
  • GDB or similar debugging tools
• Good understanding of embedded systems and firmware interaction with hardware.
• Programming/scripting knowledge in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Good understanding of Linux/embedded Linux environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

ATE / Automated Testing – Preferred

Candidates with exposure to Automated Test Equipment (ATE) will be preferred.
