Codefeast is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineering expert to lead a pod of 5–10 trainers developing terminal-based engineering tasks for a frontier AI training initiative. You will review tasks for technical accuracy, mentor trainers, and ensure tasks reflect authentic chemical engineering workflows.

This contractor role focuses on reviewing problem statements, reaction kinetics, and process simulation, guiding task design, and maintaining documentation.

Formación

• Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical experience in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong programming skills: Python, Julia, C/C++, or MATLAB/Octave with Linux proficiency.
• Hands-on expertise in process modelling, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, process simulation, or optimization.
• Strong fundamentals in chemical engineering, numerical methods, and technical validation.
• Experience reviewing complex simulations or research outputs.
• Experience mentoring or leading small technical teams; excellent written communication.
• Start Date: Immediate
• Engagement Length: 4 weeks
• Commitment: Min 40 hours/week with a 4-hour overlap with PST.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor a pod of trainers, ensuring quality, productivity, and timely delivery.
• Review tasks end-to-end, including problem statements, flow sheets, computational environments, reference solutions, and automated tests.
• Validate tasks across reaction engineering, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, separation processes, and process simulation.
• Verify engineering correctness (mass/energy balances, unit handling, numerical convergence) and validate computational models and solver tolerances.
• Review automated graders to ensure they evaluate meaningful engineering outputs (conversion, yield, energy consumption, etc.).
• Identify technical inaccuracies, unrealistic assumptions, and bypass opportunities; provide actionable feedback.
• Onboard trainers, allocate work, monitor throughput, and maintain documentation.
