Job summary

ECON Pollution Control Consultants in Mumbai invites Junior and Senior Plumbing & Firefighting Engineers to join the MEP team.

You will design and coordinate plumbing and firefighting systems for a range of projects, prepare layouts, drawings and BOQ, and ensure NBC/IS/IS code compliance.

Senior candidates may independently manage design, coordination and project execution with strong coordination and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Junior role requires 2–3 years of related experience.
• Senior role requires 4–6+ years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and firefighting MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate plumbing and firefighting systems for residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review plumbing and firefighting layouts, schematics and detailed drawings.
• Design and coordinate domestic water supply, drainage, soil/waste, rainwater and related plumbing systems.
• Design and coordinate firefighting systems including hydrant, sprinkler and fire water networks.
• Prepare pipe routing layouts, riser diagrams, pump room layouts and equipment layouts.
• Prepare BOQ, quantity take-offs and material specifications.
• Coordinate plumbing and firefighting services with architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical and other MEP services.
• Review drawings and ensure compliance with applicable NBC, IS codes and relevant fire safety requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, contractors and project/site teams.
• Review shop drawings and resolve design and coordination issues.
• Provide technical support during project execution and site coordination.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Plumbing & Firefighting MEP systems.
• Good understanding of water supply, drainage, sewage, rainwater and firefighting systems.
• Knowledge of hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump and fire water tank systems.
• Ability to read, prepare and review MEP drawings.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of relevant NBC and IS codes/standards.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

For Senior Candidates: Experience in independently handling plumbing and firefighting design, MEP coordination and project execution will be preferred.
