Job summary

D-techworks is seeking a skilled Data Engineer in Pune, India to design and maintain data pipelines, optimize queries, and drive end-of-day reporting. You will leverage SQL, Python, and cloud analytics to deliver scalable data transformations and insights.

The role requires 5-8 years of hands-on experience with databases and ETL, and a strong foundation in data architecture, performance tuning, and Unix scripting for batch automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on data engineering and analytics experience.
• Solid understanding of database architecture and performance tuning.
• Experience in end-of-day reporting setups and cloud-based analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain efficient data pipelines and ETL using SQL and Python.
• Write optimized queries (T-SQL, PL/SQL) for data manipulation across multiple RDBMS.
• Use Python libraries for data processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Perform EOD (end-of-day) data aggregation and reporting based on business needs.
• Work on Azure Synapse Analytics for scalable data transformations.
• Monitor and manage database performance across Oracle, SQL Server, Synapse, and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate reporting requirements.
• Ensure secure data handling and compliance with organizational data policies.
• Debug Unix-based scripts and automate batch jobs as needed.
