Job summary

PracticeSuite, Inc. is seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL developer to design stable, reliable database programs and optimize SQL for large-scale systems. You will interact with clients to understand requirements and mentor junior developers.

You will lead in development life cycle, apply Oracle 10g/11g features, and drive performance tuning and data governance while collaborating with architects and management.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Oracle database architecture.
• Knowledge of software development.
• Strong SQL development, SQL analytics and tuning skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• An ability to understand front-end users' requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
• Strong communications skills (both verbal & written).

Responsibilities

• Design stable, reliable and effective database programs to ensure that data processing production systems meet user needs
• PL/SQL and SQL Tuning and Optimization of newly developed and existing applications
• Provide data analysis and validation
• Leverage Oracle 10g/11g features to their fullest on a large-scale system.
• Identification of performance issues on production and testing systems.
• Interact with internal and external clients to understand requirements, explain issues and prioritize work.
• Involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle and demonstrate abilities to learn both the business processes as well as new and existing pl/sql technologies
• Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews
• Collaborate with architects and senior management to design scalable database solutions
• Drive best practices in database development, performance optimization, and data governance
