Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Project Manager Engineer in Bengaluru to drive PLM and data management initiatives within the Energy BU. You will lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery while advancing environmental compliance and process improvements.

Required 7+ years in PLM/PM, engineering experience, PMP and green belt are valued, with strong English communication and leadership capabilities for global matrix teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Green belt or Kaizen experience is a plus.
• 7+ years in Product Lifecycle Management and Project Management.
• 5 years in engineering roles.
• Solid understanding of Engineering Change Management and BOM.
• Knowledge of Creo and PDM-Link.
• Data analysis, data mining and reporting experience.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience leading global, matrixed teams.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLM and data management processes, tools, methods, and standards.
• Lead and coordinate medium‑complexity projects related to PLM, environmental compliance, and data management.
• Prepare process documentation and deliver training to support PLM initiatives.
• Represent the BU in Digital Part Management and Digital Marketing discussions.
• Act as engineering release and change management process owner for the BU.
• Drive engineering systems and application rollouts, manage risks, and negotiate trade‑offs to meet project goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in PLM and PEC initiatives.
• Excellent leadership ability to manage cross functional project execution.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Project Manager Engineer is responsible for driving Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) activities for Energy BU. The role represents the business in global PLM forums, leads projects related to PLM, data management, and environmental compliance, and works closely with cross‑functional teams to define initiatives, gather requirements, and ensure successful delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering or equivalent program
• Formal project management education/PMP certification.
• Continuous improvement/ Kaizen facilitator experience. Green belt is a plus.
• 7+ years’ of experience in Product Life cycle management and Project management
• 5 years’ experience working in/with engineering
• Solid understanding of Engineering tools, Engineering Change Management, Bill of Materials
• Knowledge of Creo and PDM-Link
• Data Analysis, Data mining and reporting experience
• Excellent in English (verbal/written)
• Excellent communication, presentation skills
• Excellent in MS office, excel, PowerPoint
• Critical thinking, problem solving
• Experience leading global teams, including matrix assignment
• Flexible, result oriented, goal driven, team player

What Your Background Should Look Like

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field or local equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional level experience
