We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented PLC Programmer with a strong background in industrial automation and machinery. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC systems, particularly in manufacturing or automotive environments. The PLC Programmer is expected to actively engage in daily operations, take ownership of assigned tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless automation processes. This role demands a problem-solver who stays updated with the latest PLC technologies and is committed to optimizing system performance and ensuring minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- PLC Programming & Development: Design, program, and testPLC logic for automation systems using platforms such as Siemens,Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or equivalent, ensuring efficient and reliablesystem operations.
- Control System Integration: Actively engage in theintegration of PLCs with HMIs, SCADA, and other industrial control systems.Ensure seamless communication and system functionality across allinterfaces.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve PLCand control system issues in real time to minimize downtime. Providetechnical support to production and maintenance teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify automation opportunitiesand implement control system improvements to enhance productivity, safety,and equipment reliability.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detaileddocumentation for PLC programs, wiring diagrams, system configurations,and operational manuals.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closelywith design, mechanical, electrical, and production teams to understandrequirements and develop control systems that meet functional and safetyspecifications.
- Testing & Commissioning: Participate in on-sitecommissioning, system validation, and functional testing of PLC-basedsystems for new installations or upgrades.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all control systems complywith industry standards, safety regulations, and internal engineeringpractices.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Support and trainoperators, technicians, and junior engineers on PLC system operation andtroubleshooting techniques.
- Project Execution: Take ownership of automation-relatedtasks within larger engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery,adherence to scope, and high-quality execution.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze theperformance of automation systems, generate reports, and recommendoptimization measures based on data insights.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineer or Diploma,
Experience
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in marketing, with at least 4+ yearsof experience in the automobile and/or machinery sectors.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs,SCADA, sensors, and actuators, with a solid understanding of machineryoperations and control logic.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills forresolving real-time system issues under pressure.
- Proficiency in PLC programming environments (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal,Allen-Bradley RSLogix, Mitsubishi GX Works) and industrial communicationprotocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Excellent project execution skills with the ability to manage multiplecontrol system tasks and meet tight deadlines in a manufacturingenvironment.
