Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Gurugram, India. You will lead automated testing efforts across API and front-end layers, with hands-on Playwright and TypeScript experience ensuring high-quality releases.

The role involves regression and production testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Angular is a strong plus, and Git proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/Software Testing experience.
• Hands-on Playwright automation with TypeScript.
• API testing experience (RESTful services).
• Experience with AI testing concepts (MCP, RAG/LLM, Agentic AI).
• Knowledge of regression testing and production validation processes.
• Familiarity with front-end testing methodologies.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java.
• Perform regression testing and production testing before and after releases.
• Execute and automate API testing.
• Conduct front-end testing to ensure UI functionality and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to identify test requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution.
• Ensure test coverage, reliability, and performance of applications.
