Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Bengaluru seeks an experienced automation tester to advance our testing initiatives. You will drive Playwright-based UI and API automation, design automation frameworks, and contribute to scalable CI/CD testing pipelines.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of testing, strong Modbus and industrial protocol knowledge, and hands-on experience with test planning, defect analysis, and agile methodologies. This role is based in Bengaluru, India.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manual and automation testing.
• Hands-on Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript experience.
• Strong UI and API automation using Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation frameworks from scratch.
• Lead UI and API automation testing using Playwright.
• Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines and maintain regression suites.
• Apply knowledge of Modbus and industrial protocols in test scopes.
• Contribute to defect management, test planning and root-cause analysis.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• 3+ years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript (Mandatory).
• Strong experience in UI & API Automation using Playwright (Mandatory).
• Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Knowledge of Modbus Protocol and industrial communication protocols (Mandatory).
• Experience in API testing, REST/SOAP services, JSON/XML validation, and Postman.
• Exposure to CI/CD integration and automated regression testing.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and SAFe Agile methodologies.
• Experience in defect management, test planning, and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of Wireshark, Modbus logs, HTTP, SNMP, or IEC61850 is preferred.
• Exposure to Electrical Distribution Devices is an added advantage.
