  • Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of business-critical platforms.
  • Manage platform capacity planning, performance tuning, system upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Define platform standards, operational procedures, and support models.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams on platform enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Lead major incident management activities for platform-related outages and critical issues.

The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, modernization, and support of enterprise platform services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in infrastructure engineering, platform operations, automation, middleware, scheduling, database management, file transfer solutions, and production support within large-scale enterprise environments.

The role requires leadership in driving platform stability, automation, observability, resiliency, security, and operational excellence while partnering with business, application, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise platform infrastructure across UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Drive platform modernization initiatives including virtualization, automation, cloud integration, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of business-critical platforms.
  • Manage platform capacity planning, performance tuning, system upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Define platform standards, operational procedures, and support models.
  • Manage enterprise server environments, virtual machines (VMware/Hyper-V), storage systems, NAS platforms, and network integrations.
  • Administer and support UNIX/Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Lead disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and recovery initiatives.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams on platform enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Administer and support Tivoli Work Scheduler (TWS) / workload automation platforms.
  • Design and optimize batch processing, job scheduling, dependency management, and workflow orchestration.
  • Troubleshoot critical batch failures and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Support Oracle databases and enterprise SQL environments.
  • Perform performance analysis, query optimization, database monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with application and data engineering teams during releases and migrations.
  • Manage and support Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions and secure file exchange platforms.
  • Implement file transfer automation, monitoring, reconciliation, and incident management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using SQL/PLSQL, Python, and Shell Scripting.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, operational tasks, deployments, and reporting.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement platform security controls.
  • Support firewall configurations, network security policies, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and security reviews.
  • Lead major incident management activities for platform-related outages and critical issues.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and observability practices.
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive preventive measures for recurring incidents.
  • Ensure platform SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics are achieved.
  • Support enterprise reporting environments including Business Objects.
  • Manage report scheduling, platform availability, performance optimization, and user support.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to support reporting requirements.
