Job summary

Ex is seeking a Platform Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to design and evolve enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms on Azure Databricks. You will drive workspace design, cluster strategy, and security controls while aligning with regulatory and operational requirements.

You will own platform governance, access management, and CI/CD integration, ensuring resilience, performance, and cost optimisation across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Azure networking, identity management and cloud security patterns.
• Proven ability to design and operate enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms.
• Experience with platform governance, RBAC and Entra ID integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior Databricks and Azure platform expertise to design, implement and evolve enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Lead platform architecture for workspace design, cluster strategy, data storage, security controls and CI/CD integration.
• Ensure platform resilience, performance and cost optimisation across development, test and production environments.
• Lead governance and security controls, including access management, network isolation and data protection.
• Provide ongoing platform support and knowledge transfer to internal engineering teams.

Platform Engineer - 5-8 Years

• Provide senior Databricks and Azure platform expertiseto design, implement and evolve enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, scalable and aligned to business, regulatory and operational requirements. The resource should have deep experience across Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Azure networking, identity management and cloud security patterns.
• Provide technical leadership for the Databricks platform architecture, including workspace design, cluster strategy, data storage architecture, security controls, CI/CD integration, environment management and platform engineering best practices to support current and future business demand.
• Ensure platform resilience, performance and operational excellencethrough proactive monitoring, capacity planning, cost optimisation, performance tuning, incident management and root cause analysis across development, test and production environments.
• Lead the implementation of platform governance and security controls, including access management, Entra ID integration, RBAC, network isolation, private connectivity, auditability, data protection and compliance with enterprise architecture and regulatory standards.
• Provide ongoing platform support and technical stewardship, working alongside internal engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues, improve platform reliability, establish operational standards and ensure effective knowledge transfer and long-term platform sustainability.
