Job summary

Sunware Technologies is seeking an Azure Databricks Platform Solution Architect to design and govern enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will define Lakehouse patterns and lead architecture decisions across Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Synapse, and ADF.

The role requires 10+ years in data architecture/engineering, deep Azure Databricks expertise, and strong communication to guide engineering teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Engineering / Platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Deep knowledge of Lakehouse architectures and related tech.
• Proficiency in Spark/PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with security, governance, CI/CD, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern scalable Azure and Databricks data platform architectures.
• Define Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture patterns.
• Design solutions using Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.
• Define architecture standards, HLD/LLD, security, governance, and performance optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with data engineering, cloud, security, and business teams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.

Mandatory Skills
