IG Group in Bengaluru is seeking a Platform Enablement Engineer to help engineering teams adopt cloud platform capabilities. You will work hands-on across cloud infrastructure, contribute to reusable tooling, and own smaller engagements end-to-end.

The role requires 4–6 years in infra/DevOps, strong IaC and observability skills, and excellent communication. The company follows a hybrid model with 3 days in the office in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and IaC tooling.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to document decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance on established patterns under senior guidance.
• Run time-boxed enablement engagements with defined scope and handover.
• Contribute to reusable IaC modules and CI/CD templates library.
• Define and apply engineering standards across engagements.
• Provide post-handover hyper-care support and clear runbooks/docs.
• Document decisions, logs, and runbooks while engaging teams.
• Track engagement data to spot recurring issues and escalate when needed.
• Surface early platform friction signals to senior engineers for escalation.

We're an advisory and acceleration function — we provide guidance, patterns, and reusable tooling, not approvals, and not ongoing operational support. Success is measured by what teams can do without us, not by how many tickets we close.**Your role in the Team’s Success**We're looking for an engineer who can run enablement engagements with growing independence — taking architectural guidance from senior team members and applying it directly with engineering teams. You'll work hands-on across cloud infrastructure, contribute to reusable tooling, and build toward owning smaller engagements end-to-end.**What you’ll do*** Provide architectural guidance on well-established patterns, under the direction of a senior engineer for anything outside your depth.* Run time-boxed enablement engagements of moderate complexity, with clear scope and a defined handover.* Contribute to and maintain a library of reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules and CI/CD pipeline templates.* Help define and apply engineering standards consistently across engagements.* Provide short, structured hyper care support after handover.* Maintain clear documentation (runbooks, onboarding guides, decision logs) as you go.* Help track engagement and support data to spot recurring issues, and flag them upward.* Surface early signals of platform friction to senior engineers for escalation.**What you’ll need for this role*** 4–6 years in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering roles.* Solid, hands-on working knowledge across most of the following: + Cloud infrastructure: AWS + CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or equivalent) + Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent) + Observability tooling (e.g. Open Telemetry, Honeycomb, CloudWatch) + ITSM/workflow tooling (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira) for engagement and request tracking* Clear written and verbal communication — able to document decisions and explain trade-offs to engineering teams.* Comfort taking direction from senior engineers while building toward independent ownership.* A documentation-first habit — you write things down as you go, not after the fact.**Nice to have:*** Experience with API gateway technologies (e.g. Kong)* Familiarity with Internal Developer Portal concepts* On-prem infrastructure: VM provisioning and lifecycle management, workload orchestration (e.g. Nomad), secrets management (e.g. Vault), artifact management (e.g. Artifactory)**How we work**We try to take a thoughtful approach to our ways of working as a company.
