Job summary

Tower Research Capital is seeking experienced engineers to design, build and operate high-performance infrastructure. You will manage bare metal Kubernetes clusters, develop Kubernetes operators, and deliver platform services for trading and research teams globally.

Ideal candidates hold a master’s degree or PhD in CS and 3–7 years with Kubernetes, plus strong skills in Python, Rust, Go or C++. A collaborative, hybrid, global environment awaits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, maintaining and operating bare metal Kubernetes clusters
• Developing Kubernetes operator
• Owning, maintaining, developing tooling and documentation for developers
• Packaging, maintaining platform as a service build blocks such as stream services, data orchestrators, databases, caches, etc
• Bringing innovation to the Platform

Qualifications

• A master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related field.
• At least 3–7 years of experience working with Kubernetes as both a user and administrator.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages, including Python, Rust, Go, or C++, with strong knowledge of system programming, Linux, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, large-scale configuration management systems, observability practices and tooling, and distributed systems such as Kafka and Etcd.
• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies and protocols, including DNS, networking, security, enterprise storage solutions, and GPU operations and development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate effectively in large-scale infrastructure environments.
