Yabx is seeking a Platform Architect to design, build, and evolve the Core Platform underpinning our fintech products, with a strong focus on bringing AI capabilities such as LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows into production.

This is a hands-on engineering role; you will work with engineering teams to set technical direction, create reusable platform services, prototype AI-driven features, and raise the engineering bar across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python or Java and building REST APIs/microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent) and container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-powered applications (RAG/agentic) in production.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Platform Architect to help design, build, and evolve the Core Platforms underpinning our fintech products, with a strong focus on bringing modern AI capabilitiesLLMs, RAG, and agentic workflowsinto production. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a strategy-only position. You'll build alongside engineering teams while setting technical direction, creating reusable platform services, prototyping AI-driven capabilities, and raising the engineering bar across the organization. Your scope spans multiple functions and product areas, supporting the platform as a whole rather than a single product.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve reusable Core Platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to build on a common foundation.
• Modernize existing platform components by replacing legacy patterns with scalable, cloud-native architecture.
• Design and deliver LLM, RAG, and agentic AI systems from prototype through production.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, engineering guidance, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and optimize platform performance, reliability, and scalability in production.
• Partner with engineering, data science, and product teams across multiple platform initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Python (preferred) or Java; REST APIs and microservices
• AWS or another major public cloud; Docker and Kubernetes
• Distributed systems fundamentals; SQL and NoSQL databases
• Git and CI/CD; system performance troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience building an LLM-powered application (RAG or agentic) using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar

GOOD TO HAVE

• Multiple agentic AI frameworks and MCP/tool integration patterns
• Prompt engineering
• Kafka, Pulsar, or other messaging/event-streaming systems
• Spark, Airflow, or other data engineering frameworks
• CAREERS CORE PLATFORM & DATA ENGINEERING 2
• Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK
• IAM and security fundamentals
• MLOps, model evaluation, and AI guardrails
• Experience deploying open-source LLMs
• Fintech or other regulated distributed systems experience
• Open-source contributions or active technical community involvement.
