Job summary

Resustainability seeks a senior leader to head end-to-end ULO refinery operations, including pre-treatment, dehydration, vacuum distillation and re-refining. You will ensure Group I Base Oils production meets quality and customer specs while managing procurement, quality, inventory and availability of feedstock.

The role requires strong leadership across Production, Maintenance, Quality and Utilities, with focus on process optimization, energy efficiency and asset reliability to minimize

Qualifications

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end ULO refinery operations including pre-treatment, dehydration, vacuum distillation and re-refining.


• Ensure production of Group I Base Oils as per quality and customer specifications.


• Plan and manage ULO feedstock procurement, quality, inventory and availability.


• Optimize process parameters, plant capacity, yield, energy consumption and overall OEE.


• Drive troubleshooting, RCA/CAPA, process improvements and reduction of downtime/off-spec production.


• Ensure effective maintenance, asset reliability, CAPEX and de-bottlenecking initiatives.


• Lead QA/QC, in-process testing, finished-product quality and non-conformance management.


• Build and lead teams across Production, Maintenance, Quality and Utilities; drive manpower planning, training and performance.


• Align production with customer requirements and ensure timely resolution of quality/customer issues.


• Ensure compliance with EHS, Pollution Control Board requirements, statutory regulations and process safety standards.

Key Requirements:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering (preferred); additional certification in Petroleum Refining/Process Engineering is an advantage.


• Experience: 1015 years in refinery/petrochemical/lube oil re-refining operations, with at least 4-5 years in a plant leadership role.


• Strong experience in Used Lube Oil Refining/Re-refining / Base Oil manufacturing.


• Sound knowledge of distillation, vacuum systems, process operations and Group I Base Oil production.


• Strong leadership, plant management, process optimization and problem-solving skills.


• Experience managing production, maintenance, quality, utilities and plant teams.


• Domain expertise: Hands-on experience in Used Lube Oil re-refining and Group I base oil production is strongly preferred.
