Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Finance Business Partner for the Solan plant in Himachal Pradesh. You will drive cost efficiency, controls, and profitability by partnering with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure rigorous financial processes and governance.

The role requires CA with manufacturing finance experience, strong costing knowledge, and hands-on SAP usage to manage high transaction volumes and deliver accurate insights for decision making.

Qualifications

• CA with relevant experience in manufacturing finance.
• Exposure to standard costing and SAP costing is preferred.
• Strong ability to handle high volumes with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monthly closing and plant financials including COGS and overheads.
• Inventory valuation and DOH control; oversee plant trial balance.
• Lead internal and statutory audits; strengthen governance and controls.
• Assess cost savings initiatives and budget variances.
• Prepare annual budget, monthly forecasts, and analyze variances.
• Capex budgeting, asset capitalization, and CWIP review.
• Provide costing support and analyze overhead absorption.

Role Overview

This role will act as a key finance business partner to the plant leadership team and will play a critical role in driving cost efficiency, controls, and profitability.

Job Description

• Monthly closing, Preparation of Plant financials, COGS. Control & timely review the manufacturing overheads, One stream reconciliations & upload.
• Ensure correct inventory valuation & control over DOH including scrap inventory.
• Ownership of the plant trial balance.
• Independently handling the Internal & Statutory audits. Ensure appropriate controls are implemented across the processes. Governance & Compliance Strengthening
• Review & validation of cost saving initiatives at plant.
• Annual budget preparation & variance analysis, Monthly forecast & analysis.
• Fixed assets budgeting, allocation, timely capitalization. Review of CWIP for timely closure.
• Costing support. Analyze over/under absorption of overheads.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of SAP.
• Good understanding of manufacturing finance and plant operations
• High attention to detail and control orientation
• Exposure to standard costing system and variances in SAP will be an added advantage
• Ability to manage high transaction volumes with accuracy
• Strong coordination skills with cross-functional teams (Procurement, HR, Logistics). Effective Business partnerships.

Educational Qualification

• CA -with relevant experience of 6-8 years.
