Nestlé in Karnataka is looking for a Factory Engineer to lead engineering activities while safeguarding health, safety, product safety and the environment. The role focuses on enhancing product quality, plant performance and business objectives through end-to-end engineering work.

The candidate will define and track factory engineering plans under the Engineering Excellence framework, working across functions to enable fast, sustainable manufacturing execution.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology with 3–5 years’ experience in food manufacturing/FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of food processing plant maintenance, utilities management and project engineering.
• Familiarity with OSH&R and hygienic engineering principles and regulatory standards.
• Experience in energy management and tools like NEMT.
• Understanding of electricity, control and automation systems.
• Proficiency with MS Project and basic AutoCAD

Main Purpose of Job

The factory engineer is responsible to manage the engineering activities relating to the factory such that employee health and safety, product safety and the protection of the environment are never compromised and that all engineering activities enhance product quality, plant performance and the business objectives.

To define, propose and monitor the implementation of Factory Engineering teams plans and objectives in accordance with the Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the Key Engineering Activities as outlined in the Nestl Engineering Excellence (NEE) master document. The role has an end to end responsibility and shared accountability with other functions that ensures operational execution speed and sustainable manufacturing excellence.

Key Experiences:

1. 1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology, with a focus on relevant disciplines.; with minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience preferably within the food manufacturing or similar FMCG industry, with responsibilities encompassing maintenance and projects.
2. 2. In-depth knowledge of food processing plant and technology maintenance, including utilities management. Experience in project engineering and management, particularly in plant design and construction, contributing to successful project execution.
3. 3. Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygienic engineering principles (OSH&R), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
4. 4. Competence in industrial services and energy management, including familiarity with tools like NEMT, for optimizing resource utilization.
5. 5. Good understanding of electricity, control, and automation systems, crucial for maintaining and enhancing plant efficiency.
6. 6. Proficient in various computer applications such as MS Project, Basic AutoCAD, CIAT, etc.
