Overview

Plant Cost Analyst role at DuPont.

Role Definition

We are looking for new resources for the Plant Cost Analyst team within the Financial Shared Service Center (FSSC) at Hyderabad. This role supports our strategy of centering plant cost accounting and providing standard financial service to business partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly transaction inputs to close process orders.
• Responsible for the monthly closing of plant ledgers.
• Build and validate total product cost by SKU, develop cost standards, participate in the standard cost revaluation process, and link this information to the outlook and PO processes.
• Work with accounting and reporting systems (SAP, BI, Business Warehouse); manipulate and organize data for effective presentation.
• Analyze data and translate into meaningful information; provide management and financial statement users with relevant, comparable, and accurate data for decision making.
• Provide support to Operations, including cost analysis, inventory control, product unit cost reporting, tracking of cost savings initiatives, and financial reporting for special projects.
• Respond to questions on Operations spending, product cost, period expense, and cost/capital investment project accounting.
• Participate in projects and team initiatives that improve manufacturing cost accounting practices and procedures.
• Adhere to internal control policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Semi or Fully Qualified CMA; Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in Accounting/Auditing/Finance/Economics/Business).
• Domestic accounting education (bachelor) with well-known Finance & Economics college.
• 3–5 years cost accounting or general ledger accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (foreign invested companies preferred).
• Strong English communication skills (speaking and writing).
• Knowledge of Costing, Variance Analysis, Management Reporting, Budgeting; Expertise in SAP and Excel preferred.
• Regular communication, collaboration, and engagement with plant and peers; self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to operate in a team environment.
• Willingness to work 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST shift and evening shift during month-end closing for 3–4 days.
• Hybrid work environment (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
