The role requires 5+ years of total experience, with at least 2 years in planning, scheduling, and interface management, and hands-on Primavera P6 scheduling experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional certification/training in Primavera P6 will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project planning and scheduling activities.
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress against baselines and identify delays or critical issues.
• Support monitoring and control to ensure timely milestones.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders across disciplines.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Planning & Interface Engineer to support project planning, coordination, interface management, and monitoring activities for a prestigious Metro Rail project in Delhi. The selected candidate will work closely with the Chief/Lead Planning & Coordination Expert and various contractors to ensure seamless project execution, timely progress tracking, and successful commissioning of project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Assist the Chief/Lead Planning & Coordination Expert in project planning and scheduling activities.
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules and identify delays or critical issues.
• Support project monitoring and control activities to ensure timely completion of project milestones.

Interface Management & Coordination

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
• Manage project interfaces between civil, electrical, systems, signaling, telecom, rolling stock, and other relevant disciplines.
• Facilitate effective communication and resolution of interface-related issues.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Prepare monthly progress reports highlighting project status, achievements, risks, and recovery measures.
• Evaluate project performance and provide assessments against commissioning targets.
• Track critical activities and recommend mitigation plans to address schedule slippages.

Testing, Trial Runs & Commissioning Support

• Assist in planning and coordinating integrated testing and trial runs.
• Support coordinated train trials and commissioning activities.
• Monitor pre-commissioning and commissioning progress to meet project timelines.

Documentation & Regulatory Support

• Assist in preparation and submission of documents required for section opening approvals.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately and submitted within required timelines.
• Support compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of total professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Project Planning, Scheduling, and Interface Management.
• Mandatory experience in Metro Rail Projects.
• Hands-on experience in Primavera P6 Scheduling.
• Experience in project monitoring, progress reporting, and commissioning support activities.
• Exposure to multidiscipline coordination within rail or metro infrastructure projects.
