Job summary

Thompsons HR Consulting Pvt Ltd in Hyderabad is seeking a senior Planning Analytics TM1 Platform Owner for a 6-month contract. You will define architecture, lead platform upgrades, and manage application lifecycle across analytics environments.

Collaboration with Product Owner, Support, and business teams is essential to deliver scalable, compliant solutions. The role requires 10+ years in Planning Analytics (TM1), a developer-architect-product owner mindset, and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in Planning Analytics (TM1).
• Profile combining Developer, Architect, and Product Owner skill sets.
• Solid experience in a similar role managing Planning Analytics (TM1) platforms and applications.
• Strong technical background with stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technical architecture of the Planning Analytics platform.
• Plan and execute platform-level activities such as software upgrades, versioning, patching, and DR testing.
• Lead troubleshooting investigations to find root causes and decide best technical solutions.
• Perform capacity planning and ensure optimal use of infrastructure resources.
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools and KPIs for platform performance and availability.
• Ensure compliance with quality, security, and audit standards for platform operations.
• Manage vendor relationships related to infrastructure, licensing, and platform services.
• Innovate to improve service delivery, platform scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Create, maintain, and enhance the PA license reporting tool (Power BI or similar).
• Ensure platform readiness for all hosted applications, regardless of size or regulatory requirements.
• Act as internal Application Owner and bridge between Product Owner, Support Team, and business stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day application management including audits, data quality, and planned operations.
• Lead incident management by reviewing and resolving critical items with Support Team.
• Perform digital admin tasks: start/stop environments and cubes, backup/restore, manage security roles.
• Drive continuous improvement and simplification of applications based on evolving business needs.
• Manage lifecycle of Planning Analytics applications from development to decommissioning.
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and changes.

Platform Activities

• Lead troubleshooting investigations to find root causes and decide the best technical solutions to reported issues
• Perform capacity planning and ensure optimal use of infrastructure resources
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools and KPIs for platform performance and availability
• Ensure compliance with our quality, security, and audit standards for all platform-level operations
• Manage vendor relationships related to infrastructure, licensing, and platform services
• Innovate to improve service delivery, platform scalability, and cost efficiency
• Create, maintain, and enhance the PA license reporting tool (Power BI or similar) and other platform utilities
• Ensure platform readiness for all hosted applications, regardless of size, complexity, or regulatory requirements
  

Application Activities

• Lead incident management by reviewing and resolving critical or aged items in collaboration with the Support Team
• Perform digital admin tasks: start/stop environments and cubes, backup/restore applications, create/delete cubes, write calculation scripts, manage security roles, and maintain admin interfaces
• Drive continuous improvement and simplification of applications based on evolving business needs
• Manage the lifecycle of Planning Analytics applications, from development to decommissioning
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for application configurations, processes, and changes
  

Mandatory Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in Planning Analytics (TM1)
• Profile combining Developer, Architect, and Product Owner skill sets
• Solid experience in a similar role managing Planning Analytics (TM1) platforms and applications
• Strong technical background combined with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  

Preferred Experience

• SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages
• Knowledge of financial planning and analysis processes
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Cognos TM1, AWS)
