Role Description

• Provide placement support to Industrial Training Institutes, NSTIs and Vocational Training Institutes.
• Build a robust database of employers by networking with companies and industry bodies.
• Ensure support to program implementation partners to organise industry engagement activities effectively and monitor them.
• Build capacity of program implementation partners to plan and organise placement‑related activities at their institutes.
• Anchor and execute placement strategies and plans in the region.
• Create an annual plan and calendar of placement activities in the region in collaboration with regional teams.
• Plan and conduct employer engagement events (talks, walk‑ins, campus drives).
• Own the placement targets for the region and meet project needs.
• Anchor Industry Connect Fellow engagement through regular calls and review meetings.
• Maintain active relationships with company representatives, industry bodies and placement officers.
• Plan and conduct employer engagement events, including placement fairs.
• Explore and arrange apprenticeships, internships, on‑the‑job training and career‑connect activities with existing and prospective employers.
• Support the state team in organising job‑readiness training boot camps and co‑facilitate placement sessions.
• Create, maintain and share reports as per program requirements.
• Travel across locations for work as needed.
• Coordinate and facilitate capacity building of placement officers for ITIs and VTIs.
• Plan and organise trainings for placement officers.
• Orient placement officers on placement systems and best practices.
• Conduct demos of industry engagement activities.

Qualifications Required

• Graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in placement of candidates at the fresher level in an NGO or technical institute.
• Knowledge of liaising with companies and experience of industry connect, including placement of students within organisations.
• Previous experience of customer/client contact especially establishing effective links with companies in the relevant discipline or field.
• Experience working and training young adults for jobs, on‑the‑job training, etc.
• Ability to work to meet the needs of the placement service.
• Willingness to undertake external visits and to travel across locations.
• Team‑player with negotiation and consultation skills with all engaged parties.

Salary

Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 32,000 per month (cost to company). The salary offered will be commensurate with experience and expertise.
