Job summary

Intellimind in Bengaluru is seeking a PL/SQL Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL to design, develop, optimize, and maintain robust database solutions. You will collaborate with Business, Operations, QA, and Development teams to deliver scalable database applications.

The role requires strong SQL/PL/SQL skills, experience with AWS RDS and NoSQL is a plus, and you will work across full software lifecycle including migration activities and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS/IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL & PostgreSQL development.
• Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL with DDL/DML/DML/L/TCL knowledge.
• Experience with Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, and SQL Queries in Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with IDE tools: Toad, Oracle SQL Developer, pgAdmin.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, implement, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Tables, and Sequences.
• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL database objects including Functions, Procedures, Triggers, Views, and SQL scripts.
• Write efficient, scalable SQL queries for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with Business, Operations, QA, and Development teams.
• Perform query optimization and database performance tuning using execution plans and indexing.
• Create data migration scripts and support Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations.
• Prepare technical docs, deployment guides, and support documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to database development standards.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests via ticketing systems.

Intellimind is seeking a PL/SQL Developer (Oracle & PostgreSQL) with 3–5 years of hands‑on experience to join our expanding IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL database development, along with expertise in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining database solutions. The role requires close collaboration with Business, Operations, QA, and Development teams to deliver scalable and high‑performance database applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
2. Develop, test, implement, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Tables, and Sequences.
3. Develop and maintain PostgreSQL database objects, including Functions, Procedures, Triggers, Views, and SQL scripts.
4. Write efficient, scalable, and optimized SQL queries for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
5. Analyze business requirements and convert them into robust database solutions.
6. Perform query optimization and database performance tuning using execution plans, indexing, and optimization techniques.
7. Design and maintain database schemas while ensuring data integrity, security, and consistency.
8. Develop data migration scripts and support Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration activities when required.
9. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
10. Work with ticketing systems to manage incidents, service requests, and change requests.
11. Prepare technical documentation, database design documents, deployment guides, and support documentation.
12. Estimate development effort and provide timely delivery of assigned tasks.
13. Participate in code reviews and follow database development standards and best practices.
14. Collaborate closely with Business, Operations, QA, and Project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
15. Stay up to date with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and database technology advancements

Qualifications & Skills

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with Oracle PL/SQL & PostgreSQL development.
3. Proficient in Database SQL and PL/SQL with a strong working knowledge of DDL, DML, DQL, DCL, and TCL commands.
4. Hands‑on experience in developing Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, and SQL Queries in Oracle and PostgreSQL.
5. Strong working knowledge of IDE tools such as Toad, Oracle SQL Developer, pgAdmin
6. Working experience with AWS RDS databases and NoSQL databases is an added advantage.
7. Familiarity with database design principles, normalization, and query optimization.
8. Strong knowledge of Database Administration and Performance Tuning.
9. Experience with version control tools such as GitHub.
10. Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
11. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
12. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
13. Ensure close collaboration with the Reporting Manager, internal teams, and stakeholders.
14. Working Hours: The shift timings for this role are flexible and may vary between 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Candidates should be available to work in both shifts as required.
