Job summary

Adecco India is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead mechanical design for industrial valves used in power, oil and gas projects. You will prepare specs, datasheets, MTOs and review supplier proposals.

You will coordinate with other engineering disciplines, review documents, and act as the technical interface with clients, participating in factory and site acceptance tests. 8+ years of experience and strong English are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience with major mechanical equipment and systems.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Analytical, proactive, and able to coordinate with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical design for industrial valves used in power, oil and gas projects.
• Prepare material requisitions, technical specs, datasheets and MTO lists for industrial valves.
• Review and approve suppliers' technical proposals and manufacturers' documentation.
• Review PIDs and piping class specifications; coordinate interdisciplinary document reviews.
• Serve as interface with clients and third parties; participate in FAT and SAT.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical design works for all industrial valves used in power, oil and gas projects.
• Prepare material requisitions, technical specifications, datasheets and MTO lists for all types of industrial valves
• Review and approve suppliers technical proposals
• Review and approve manufacturers technical documentation (drawings, sizing calculations, datasheets, material and test certificates, etc.)
• Review of PIDs and piping class specifications
• Exchange the information with the other engineering disciplines and coordinate the inter-disciplinary documents reviews and other related engineering works jointly developed
• Be the technical interface and focal point with Clients and other 3rd Parties
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 8 years of engineering work experience about major mechanical equipment and systems
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of MS Office programs
• Strong communication skills, team worker
• Analytical thinking, result oriented, enthusiastic, self motivated, positive and energetic
• Ability to work in harmony with other engineering disciplines
• No restriction to travel and stay abroad when needed
• No military obligation for male candidates
• Knowledgeable in all types of industrial valves for isolation, control and relief functions, as well as valve actuation systems and materials
• Experienced in selection of valves and materials for diverse industrial applications and process conditions
• Familiar with major international standards of ASME, ASTM, API and EN associated with design, materials and testing of valves.
