- Supports piping engineering needs across global businesses in projects and site support.
- Knowledge on tools such as CAESAR II, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review, Nozzle Pro, etc.
- Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME B31.1, 31.3, 31.4, 31.8, API-570, API for valves, commonly used ASME, API & ASTM codes.
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Experience in live Plant Operations a plus.
What you will do
Individual contributor:
- Performs routine work independently and undertakes complex problems or issues with the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Conducts detailed technical evaluations to address issues with Piping and system design, operation and maintenance.
- Provides technical assistance to Root Cause Failure Analysis teams.
- Reviews project and contractor deliverables as requested to ensure compliance with project specifications, Design Practices, Codes & standards and best practices.
- Participate in inter-disciplinary document review, design reviews, 3D model reviews, risk assessments
- Coordinate/collaborate across all technical disciplines, as well as field engineering support to develop pragmatic, general interest solutions.
- Supports functional initiatives and maintains discipline documentation.
- Provides technical mentorship to young engineers.
- Proactively and continuously grows technical expertise in pertinent technologies.
- Maintains current knowledge (e.g. through participation in industry training, conferences and forums).
About You
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized university with minimum GPA 7.0 or above.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in responsible roles in static equipment engineering operation or design, and coordination of surveillance / inspection activities for projects in the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Minimum graduate in Bachelor of Engineering. Skills: Caesar II, Nozzle Pro, Navisworks and SPR review, codes and standards, Brown field experience, piping, valves and materials
- O&G experience in green and brown field projects, piping, valves and materials, codes and standards, Caesar II, Nozzle Pro, Navisworks and SPR review.
- Working knowledge on – Piping arrangements, piping isometrics, plot plan, equipment layout, Piping materials take-off, piping material specifications, valve material specifications, data sheets, vendor proposals, Stress analysis and piping supports- Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME B31.1, 31.3, 31.4, 31.8, API-570, API for valves, commonly used ASME, API & ASTM codes.
- Knowledge on tools such as CAESAR II, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review, Nozzle Pro, etc.
Preferred Qualifications/Experiences
- Experience in shutdown planning and execution activities
- Experience in maintenance and reliability concepts and applications
- General knowledge of oil and gas production operations and facilities (e.g., oil treating, gas processing, compression, measurement, corrosion)
- Experience in upstream engineering activities and operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willing and able to travel, as required, for extended periods
