Job summary

Purview Services is seeking a qualified physiotherapist to join our clinical team in Chennai. The role involves assessing patients, designing individualized rehabilitation plans, and guiding treatment using exercises, manual therapy, and electrotherapy as appropriate.

You will collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, monitor progress, and adjust plans to achieve optimal recovery. Prior experience within orthopedics, neurology, or sports rehab is valued.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and evaluate physical conditions, mobility, strength, flexibility, and functional limitations.
• Develop individualized physiotherapy and rehabilitation treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and other appropriate treatment techniques.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, sports-related, post-operative, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, posture, mobility, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, assessments, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist patients with mobility training, gait training, strengthening, and functional rehabilitation.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of physiotherapy equipment.
• Maintain patient safety, hygiene, and professional standards during treatment.
• Provide home exercise programs and guidance for continued recovery.
• Participate in health camps, awareness programs, and rehabilitation initiatives where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid registration with the applicable state/country physiotherapy council, where required.
• 1-6 years of relevant experience depending on the position.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Good clinical assessment and patient-handling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
