Job summary

Health Basix in Coimbatore is seeking a Physician Assistant to support our clinical and nursing teams in managing student health cases and coordinating medical services across our school health programs. You will provide clinical support to nurses, assist with case management, documentation, and coordination with physicians, schools, and internal teams, while ensuring confidentiality and high-quality care.

1–3 years experience preferred; Bachelor's or Diploma in Physician Assistant; proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Physician Assistant or related field.
• 1–3 years clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in hospital, clinic, school health, community health, or similar settings is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable with mobile apps and digital health platforms.
• Maintains confidentiality and clinical documentation.
• Ability to coordinate with nurses, doctors, schools, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to school nurses via calls and other channels.
• Assist with Yellow and Red Case management and follow-up.
• Support nurses with medication-related and case-management queries.
• Coordinate with physicians for cases needing medical review.
• Coordinate physician visits to schools and ensure case information is available.
• Maintain documentation and follow-up records for Red Cases.
• Track pending cases and coordinate with nurses, physicians, and clinical teams for timely closure.
• Validate and correct missing or inaccurate assessment data in the Health Basix mobile application.
• Cross-check clinical data with records and assessment forms.
• Assist doctors in preparing health education materials.
• Coordinate with the Clinical, Nursing, Operations, and IT/Data teams.
• Maintain confidentiality of student health information.
• Escalate clinically significant cases to the appropriate physician or clinical lead.

• Provide clinical support to school nurses through calls and other communication channels.
• Assist nurses with Yellow and Red Case management and follow-up.
• Support nurses with medication-related and case-management queries within the scope of the role.
• Coordinate with assigned physicians for cases requiring medical review or further intervention.
• Coordinate physician visits to assigned schools and ensure relevant case information is available.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up records for Red Cases.
• Track pending cases and coordinate with nurses, physicians, and clinical teams for timely closure.
• Support validation and correction of missing or inaccurate assessment data in the Health Basix mobile application.
• Cross-check clinical assessment data with available records and assessment forms.
• Assist doctors in preparing health education presentations, awareness materials, and school health content.
• Coordinate with the Clinical, Nursing, Operations, and IT/Data teams.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student health and clinical information.
• Escalate clinically significant cases to the appropriate physician or clinical lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Physician Assistant / Physician Associate or
• 1–3 years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in hospital, clinic, school health, community health, or similar healthcare settings is an advantage.
• Good understanding of clinical documentation and case management.
• Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable working with mobile applications and digital healthcare platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to coordinate with nurses, doctors, schools, and internal teams.
