Job summary

Segel in Delhi seeks a capable PHP web developer to build and maintain web applications for Scandinavian clients. You will work across the full stack, leveraging Laravel or CodeIgniter, MVC patterns, and modern front-end tech.

The ideal candidate combines deep PHP knowledge with AWS service familiarity, database integration (MySQL/MS SQL), and a focus on security, accessibility, and robust version control using Git.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter).
• Understanding PHP synchronous/asynchronous behaviour.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns.
• Front-end skills: JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Awareness of accessibility and security compliance.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3).
• Experience with user authentication across systems.
• Ability to integrate data sources and databases (MySQL, MS SQL).
• Familiarity with PHP limitations and workarounds.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and declarative queries.
• Proficiency with Git and version control.

Develop and maintain Web Applications for Scandinavian clients.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, CodeIgniter)
• Understanding the fully synchronous/asynchronous behaviour of PHP.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns.
• Advanced understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
• Strong knowledge of the web service functionalities like AWS EC2/ Elastic Beanstalk/ S3 storage/.
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system like MySQL, MS SQL etc.
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git .Commands etc. to maintain versioning.
