Job summary

KIPP.org is seeking a web developer to design and implement features for the organization's website, focusing on PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.

You will work with RESTful APIs, deployment tools, and a LAMP stack, ensuring accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and reusable code across the portal.

Collaborate with stakeholders and stay current with web tech trends to deliver fast, accessible, and scalable digital experiences.

Qualifications

• Proficient in modern web development technologies and methodologies.
• Strong experience with a LAMP stack.
• Experience hosting websites on Apache.
• Familiar with task runners such as Gulp/Grunt and shell scripts.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and Google APIs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Remains current on new tools, technologies and web design trends, including platforms and plugins as they pertain to graphics, social, and video
• Design pages within portal and populate with content (content will be provided)
• Collaborate with associated stakeholders to achieve best results in design, tagging, and overall UX
• Complete programming using languages and software products
• Study and establish connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers
• Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
• Creating front-end and back-end code that’s extensible and reusable, tested for optimized performance both on the server and in the browser
• Providing support to users
